Breaking the glass ceiling
March 8th is a focal point in the movement for women's rights, and a moment to discuss the extra circumstances women undergo, usually when trying to advance within areas of their careers and often while trying to advance within their lives outside their work spaces. It is also a call to action to accelerate gender parity and a moment to discuss how to break these invisible barriers.
Take a moment to think on how to surpass these barriers. Society has made big moves towards equality, but the odds are still stacked against women who have the ambition to lead. We have to continue building each other up instead of tearing each other down. Continue to support our female colleagues and share their successes, and we will see a change. It’s easier to break this glass ceiling together, than alone. :)
Of course this is just one of the many topics to be thought over and discussed, not just on March 8th, but routinely. That being said, this illustration was made to represent women actually breaking the glass ceiling and taking leadership roles in society. It is dedicated to all the strong women out there: May we know them. May we be them. May we raise them.
